Personal data processed by us:
We store and process your personal core data (such as first name, surname, name affixes, legal guardian, nationality), contact data (private address, (mobile) telephone number, e-mail address) as well as your application data (cover letter, certificates/references, questionnaires, interviews, qualifications and previous activities) for the purpose of processing the application procedure and any subsequent employment relationship. If you have also voluntarily provided us with special categories of your personal data (such as health data, religious affiliation, degree of disability), processing will take place in accordance with Art. 9 (2) lit. b DSGVO. As a rule, your personal data is collected directly in the course of the recruitment process. In addition, we may have received data from third parties (job placement/employment agency).

As part of your application, you must provide the above-mentioned personal data that is required for the application process and our suitability assessment. Without this data, we cannot carry out the application process or make a decision about the establishment of an employment relationship. If you provide your application documents via online form, your personal data will be transmitted in encrypted form. If you send us your application documents by e-mail, please note that the data will be transmitted unencrypted.  To protect your personal data, please use the online form or send us your documents by conventional mail to the hotel address given in the advertisement.

Legality basis of data processing

We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and all other relevant laws (e.g. BetrVG, AGG, etc.). The data processing is done to carry out and process the application procedure and to assess the extent to which you are suitable for the position in question. The processing of your applicant data is necessary in order to be able to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The primary legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) b) GDPR in conjunction with § 26 (1) BDSG. We treat your applicant data confidentially. Should we wish to process your personal data for a purpose not mentioned above, we will inform you in advance.

Disclosure of your personal data

Within our company, only those persons and entities (department, personnel representatives, representatives of the severely disabled) receive your personal data that need them for the hiring decision and to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations.

Furthermore, we use an applicant management software of the provider d.vinci HR-Systems GmbH (Nagelsweg 37-39, 20097 Hamburg). For this reason, this service provider may have access to your personal data that you send us. We have concluded a corresponding data processing agreement with the service provider.

In the job advertisements on our website, you have the option of using the links to the logins of the Xing or LinkedIn networks. In this way, you can arrange for our applicant management software to pre-fill the application form on our website directly with your stored details or data from your network profile (uploaded CV, applicant photo, contact, name...). Xing or LinkedIn do not receive any personal data from us. Similarly, when using the professional platforms HotelCareer by Stepstone or Hogapage, they do not receive any data from us. This is because vacancies posted there link directly to the application form on our website.

Storage duration
As a rule, your personal data will be deleted six months after completion of the application process. This does not apply if legal provisions prevent deletion or if further storage is necessary for purposes of evidence or if you have consented to longer storage. If we are unable to offer you a position, but believe on the basis of your profile that your application may be of interest for future job offers, we will ask you for permission to retain your personal application data for an additional 12 months.

Data transfer into third countries
We do not transfer your personal data into a third country (country outside EU/EEC).

Your rights

If you believe that our processing of your data violates the GDPR, you can contact our data protection officer or a data protection supervisory authority.
